Conclusion 

We are encouraged to be both for and against the strengthening of gun control laws in the United States. When completing this project we were encouraged to think about both sides of the issue, depending on each individual cartoon we analyzed. Some of the cartoons we analyzed prompted us to interpret them for ourselves. There were many times where we disagreed on the cartoonists' intentions. We feel that cartoons are a way to express multiple views on one issue. We felt that it is important to find the real information from outside sources (i.e. fact checking) to assure that we are not being fed "bull". Cartoons are another source of media that have cultivation theories of their own: framing, gate-keeping, agenda-setting. We need to still be cautious when using these cartoons to form our opinions on certain issues.
